Worthwhile upgrade for the VFR/X
These do soften the standard harsh ride over small bumps/uneven surfaces but aren't going to give the VFR1200X the supple ride I was after. Handling appears much the same even with the recommended dropping of forks 5mm through steering head, a little more solid in fast sweeping bends possibly and slightly quicker steering/turn in. For the money, a decent upgrade but don't expect miracles. I'm approx' 5' 10" and the slight lowering effect has been welcome especially when pushing the bike backwards while sat on it. Incidentally I replaced the oil with a low cst rated 5 wt oil too.

Cost effective rat stopper.
I placed one of these in our sewer outlet 4 years ago, approx' 2 years back I had to replace the flap/door as it had been chewed through...the bottom of a food tin can works well here. We've just started hearing the odd rogue rat in our loft/walls so checked this valve only to find it has started to perish/fall apart. For the relief given over 4 years it's been a really worthwhile purchase, if anything it's a cheap way to see if the horrible little things are getting in through your sewer in the first place. I'm going to replace with a stainless steel one but for ease of fitting/cost etc. and relief given I'd definately recommend. Also we've not once had a blockage since fitting.

Decent bulbs
These seem very good, I've ordered both warm white and daylight versions and they've not let me down as yet. Originally purchased bulbs approx' 12 months old and still workiig fine.
