Perfect for keeping precise time automatically
The clock is absolutely perfect for my needs. It receives the time from the official NPL radio signal, and keeps it (evidently to better than a second) at least until it is re-adjusted every 24 hours automatically. The result is a time display always matching to the second both my radio-controlled wristwatch and time shown on both my computers. The display of the time, to the second, is important to me because of occasional evening and early-morning on-line deadlines, and this feature is absent from mobile phones, and most (or all other) bedside clocks. The size of the clock is likewise ideal for the bedside: not very big, but with a large time display (easily visible from across the room). The slightly garish, but acceptable overall display is carefully designed to give useful further, date and temperature data separated by colour and thus not muddled on the face, so that differential apprehension is instant at a glance. The alarm is a subtle but effective decreasing-interval signal, with a snooze feature. Obviously mains power is essential for the display, but the backup battery keeps the time in the event of a power cut, which I can confirm is reliable.

Carefully designed; well worth the price.
1 of 1 found this helpful I needed a small detergent-dispensing brush to wash up silver cutlery (used at every meal) quickly rather than to use the diswasher, which hastens tarnishing. Having tried two larger cheap conventional brushes which store detergent in the handle, I had to discard them as the detergent leaked or was not adequately controllable. This product is perfect because it is properly and carefully designed, quick to use with a few drops of detergent easily dispensed from the perfect size reservoir, and tidy to keep at hand. It is well worth the price. It is helpful to press the centre of the rubber cap down and release it just as you complete the seal when refilling, so that a positive pressure pulse does not push out a bit of unwanted detergent at that point. The main thing is that now I can clean the silver, rinse it, dry it, and put it away all quickly and easily compared with the time and trouble of using a badly designed detergent brush or getting out the bottle only for a drop or two of detergent.

First use: Small mouse found dead beside bait. He had evidently nibbled at a corner of the sachet...AMAZING!
