EN-EL15 Camera Battery For Nikon D810 D800 D750 D610 D7000 D7100 D7200 V1 DSLR

Works just like the original in a D7100
Don't forget to fully discharge any Li-Ion battery the first 3 times. I found that leaving the camera on and connected to my computer via USB drains the battery pretty fast! I have the original MH-25 charger and all works well. May buy another... one for the camera, one for the charger, and one for the bag.

Flexible, but still a Point and Shoot
This camera looks like a Digital SLR (DSLR), but it is really a 'Super-Zoom' class digital point-and-shoot camera with extra manual settings and a nice 12X zoom lens. It takes 4GB SDHC cards (and maybe larger?), and can shoot VGA movies very nicely. You can also run CHDK (Canon Hacker Development Kit) on it, which gives you RAW capability, a battery power meter display (instead of just a low bat warning), and other features. The viewfinder is digital, and pretty grainy at that, but does provide a way to see what you are shooting when it is too bright for the (rather nice!) 2.5" swiveling LCD display. The image stabilization feature is awesome, and allows you to shoot down to 1/20 and even 1/10 of a sec without blurring. That gives you quite a bit of flexibility on the low light end. You need that because high ISO settings tend to inject quite a bit of noise into images. There are newer Canon cameras out there (SX110 for example) that are similar in features, but don't provide a viewfinder at all, is 10X instead of 12X zoom, and run on 2 batteries.
Casio SGW100B-3V 3106068 Wrist Watch for Men LM01522

Big time display, fits my big wrist and easy to use
I haven't worn a watch since my Casio F-91W plastic band broke (again) about 5 years ago. I was cleaning out a desk drawer, and there it was, working fine. Gee, it would be nice to have a watch again. But the time display is a bit small for my old eyes, and a new band runs about $20. So I looked around for one with a larger display, a better band, and something 'extra' that you don't get with a smart phone. Voila! The SGW100B-3V has nice big numbers, very reflective surface, and a compass too. And the band is large enough for my over 8" wrist and it is some sort of woven material that seems like it will last a while. It is quite a bit thicker than my previous Casio, but I'm already used to it after a few days. Figuring out the 'four button' controls was pretty easy seems quite familiar), and the compass works great. The only issue I have with the compass is that the large 'dial' around the watch face doesn't rotate like a 'real' compass. But I figure I could get used to it if I'm out on a hike or something. Good watch so far!
