Good movie but beware of DVD rot.
This is a great movie, but beware of DVD rot for this DVD. This DVD is one of the many Warner Brothers DVDs that either due to manufacturing mistakes or just faulty material has experienced DVD rot.

Fantastic Four evolves into uncharted areas for "The World's Greatest Comic Magazine"
The Fantastic Four Marvel Masterworks #7. Issues 61-71 including FF Annual #5. If you were a fan of the early Fantastic Four, you may not appreciate these issues. The storylines begin to evolve away from more earthly villains to more deep space entities with unlimited powers, similar to the Galactus/Silver Surfer mode. Plus introduction of the mysterious "negative zone".
Also, now that Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Girl are married and the Human Torch finds true love with Crystal the Inhuman, there is more chic flick type dialogue, which in my opinion, detracts from the appeal. The volume ends with a wild story arc involving the Thing which goes on and on.
However, big fans of the FF will likely find these story lines interesting. But you may miss the old days of Dr. Doom, Sub-Mariner, Mole Man, etc.
