Fujitsu NiMH LSD Batteries
I have been making my own battery packs for my RC airplanes for quite some time, and recently I purchased the Fujitsu NiMH LSD batteries to see how they compare to the cells I have been using. Let me say right away that there is no comparison. I cycled the cells several times and each time the performance of the cells increased. I have been using them now for several months and I'll never go back to standard NiMH cells again.
These cells are new technology (LSD) and hold a charge like nothing else I have used. The LSD stands for Low Self Discharge and unlike standard cells do not discharge much while not in use ( unlike standard cells ). The best thing about them is that they are more stable and reliable than Lipo packs. The maker claims that they will maintain about 85% of their charge if left unused for a year. I have to date built five 6.0 volt packs and all are performing at a high level. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.
