Excellent DVD Recorder in its day well ahead of the competition
I have owned The Sony DVD recorder for a number of years and when it became beyond economic repair I spotted this machine. It had a damaged case but works perfectly. The dented cover has been swapped with my other machine so Im very pleased with this deal. The Sony RDR-GXD500 recorder was a Which best buy in its day because it will read and record a wide range of formats and produce an excellent picture in standard mode ( it does not have HDTV). New Sony versions of this machine are very expensive but are able to record in blue ray format with much more space on blue ray discs.
