Excellent card for 1080p gaming.
1 of 1 found this helpful An excellent card for 1080p gaming on all the titles I have tested it with, including Battlefield 1, GTAV, Fallout 4 and The Witcher 3.
The card enables fluid gameplay of at least 60fps at high settings on all these titles (apart from a few moments, though these are probably engine-based issues).
The 3GB of memory has been adequate so far, and most PC games nowadays have a GPU memory restriction option to prevent problems with memory.
The card itself is of high build quality and runs incredibly cool and quiet in my system: Temps have yet to go above 60 degrees even during intense gameplay and the fans operate very quietly throughout.
The boost speed measures up to 1898Mhz out of the box without overclocking.
In terms of performance, it leaves my old GTX 780 in the dust, for a fraction of the cost and power usage.
It requires one 6-pin PCI-Express power connector and so far has never gone above 75% power usage of it's stated 120Watt limit, meaning that vitually any power supply above 300 watt should suffice (though I would recommend getting a branded power supply such as Corsair or EVGA to ensure quality and performance).
All in all an excellent card for gaming and I can recommend it to anyone looking for a quality 1080p gaming experience.

Good quality board.
Pros:
Good performance and overclockability.
Excellent build quality.
Decent looking board with red LED accents.
Top feature level for AM4 for the price, with M.2, USB 3.1 and optical audio.
Cons:
Typically poor Gigabyte BIOS and software.
2 SATA-Express ports - there are still no devices to use it! Stop wasting board space!!
Overall, I recommend this board for a new Ryzen build.

ASUS HD7850 - Good budget option
Still a great card in 2021. Runs the latest games at lower resolutions and settings. Runs older games at 1080p high settings. Still supported with the latest driver updates. GCN 1.0 still going strong. This ASUS model has excellent cooling and remains very quiet in use. Can be overclocked quite a bit too for some extra performance. Recommended for those looking for a budget gaming graphics card.
