Excellence
This is a superb product. It raises the motor slightly, and sites it on a proper bearing. This has the effect of removing rumble and motor noise from reaching the stylus as it travels over your vinyl. The result is inky blackness between tracks, no tumble or humming noise coming through, just silence.
And, as the rumble and hum is missing from the signal, it’s also no longer interfering with music, so you hear more detail, and greater dynamics.
This is a major upgrade. For clarity, I’ve upgraded the main bearing, sub platter, and platter to premium parts.
This SRM Tech thrust bearing upgrade, and a quality heavy platter (Delrin in my case) and a properly cleaned and serviced bearing, are the best upgrades you can do.
