No go for articulating screens.
The way it mounts on the camera prevents articulating screens from flipping out.

Hard to find a good lens cap for it
You need a 35-36mm cap to actually protect the lens when using this hood. These are hard to come by. Getting a bigger cap that sits further away from the front element leaves it unprotected from dust coming in through the vent holes.

Spins all over the place, unusable.
When you unlock the ball, the base also unlocks and keeps rotating and getting unscrewed from whatever you have it mounted on, changing orientation etc. Completely unusable.
