It still works!

Generally speaking you can't go wrong with a Sony product. This particular model handles tapes well with useful information output and ease of use. Other brands do not stand up so well.

More than a kit

This is a great solution if you are fully equipped with an electronics technician's bench, lots of experience in electronic repairs and rebuilding, the tools to do it and lots of time on your hands. The photos implied more of a plug'n go item. For me, I will need to hire someone to do this, so much for the savings on traditional lamps.
