Everyone should know this
1 of 1 found this helpful I knew chlorine (used to purify our water supplies) and fluoride were bad for the thyroid gland. I didn't know how bad Bromine and Bromide were; nor how widespread they are in our environment; and I certainly didn't know the deleterious effect they have on our bodies' ability to absorb iodine. Neither did I know how very little iodine remains in our over-farmed soils, and consequently how little we get in our diet. I do now(!!!), thanks to this very informative book. I would urge everyone, especially those with histories of cancer in the family, to read this very informative, enlightening book.

Poorly manufactured
Although my harp was well-packaged for posting, it arrived with half the chord-bars wedged down between the chord-bar-comb pegs which they should have been sitting on. Closer inspection revealed the pegs are situated closer to the edge of the combs at the centre of the combs than at the ends. The chord-bars have been lifted onto the pegs, but are teetering on the edge. These comb-bars should have been precision engineered... yet Oscar Scmidt describe the Adirondack as their 'finest'. (Also it's about time Oscar Scmidt updated their harps - designed in the '30's when brass-bands were all the rage - to be more guitar-compatible.)
