Surprise in a box
For those difficult to reach areas in your home, you could do a lot worse. Started it under win 7 and migrated flawlessly to Win 10. Simply put, this thing smokes. In a room-over-the garage situation where I tried everything else and could never get more than two bars and 1 Mbps, and then I had to hold my mouth just right, this thing gives me 5 bars and typically 72 Mbps regardless of where I put it.
Netgear wireless N downstairs at the other end of the house. I had tried forwarders, range extenders, and various USB adapters, but the search stopped right here.
Clear winner.

A Must Have For Those Good-Bye to Cable Folks
I bought this to primarily use as a distribution amplifier for and outdoor OTA antenna I recently installed. After dropping Direct TV , I tried a number of indoor antennas with indifferent to poor results. So I bought a compact outdoor unit and drilled a hole in the wall to hook it up. Problem was, I has more than one device that needed an antenna. A 55"TV, a Magnavox DV recorder, and an OTA tuner that records to a USB drive. (I know, I know, problem is the best shows come on different channels at the same time).
After the indoor antenna results, I didn't expect too much.
But I was stunned with the results. Even the fringe stations that I had to hold my mouth just right even to pick up now come in rock solid on all three devices. I admit I haven't done any quantitative testing, but I don't need to. This little unit more than fills the bill.
