Sharp HT-SBW110 2.1 Bluetooth Soundbar with Wired Subwoofer 180W - (Black) B+

Good value. Just wish the sub was more subtle.
I bought this as a return/refurb unit. Brand new its down to about £130. I only paid £60 odd, which makes it pretty good value compared to what else is available new at that price.
I will be brief. It is easy to setup. I like the remote function although it's tiny and will be easy to lose. It looks smart if a tab boring but it's built to reasonable quality. It does seem like a well thought out and designed piece of kit.
The only let down is how loud and boomy the sub seems. It is a novelty at first but you quickly realise that on tracks you know well, it's pretty much adding bass and noise that wasn't part of the recording. It's shame that Sharp didn't include even a basic pass filter to let users dial back the sub to respond in a more moderate way. It would have cost them pennies and would greatly improve the user experience for a lot of buyers. Setting the system on TV mode kills the bass but also takes a lot away from the sound bar.
It's better then the TV speakers. It'll be fine for the odd party blast. But the lack of ability to control the sub means it's very hit and miss with music. For what it cost though its performance overall is admirable and I would consider recommending it.
