Bye Bye Dehumidifiers

We have a modern 2-bed semi, that doesn't breathe at all. uPVC double glazing, dripping with condensation, constantly cleaning mould from ceilings. Clothes dried on airers and radiators. Every winter we have 2 top quality dehumidifiers running almost constantly, pouring away a gallon of moisture every day. We knew this was because the house wasn't ventilated, but didn't really know how to improve it - you can't have windows open when at work all day etc. Installed this Drimaster Eco Heat one evening last week, the fan is set to 3 and can only hear it when stood directly under the vent. We have had to have the heater on as otherwise the air brought in does drag the ambient temperature down a lot. This is probably about the same consumption as the 2 dehumidifiers, but the result is far more impressive. We now have no condensation at all. After a shower, only the bathroom window is steamed up and this clears quickly. The house is much drier - my humidistat has dropped about 10% in about 5 days. Whole heartedly recommend this product and would say you probably should go the extra cost of the heated version - I'm glad that I did.

These are great little items for converting devices to PoE. I got these for some CCTV cameras so will save running power cables as well.
