The Sharpe End
Having read and enjoyed several of the books in the Sharpe series and having left UK before the TV adaptation was made, I was keen to see how the character would translate from book to TV screen. Whilst the TV series starts about halfway through the brace of books and doesn't necessarily stick closely to the substance of the books either, the series was most enjoyable. You can even forgive Sean Bean for needing the character of sharpe to adopt a Yorkshire origin as he plays the part so convincingly as the heroic rouge. The box set brought everything to me in one neat compilation with extra material to boot! Well worth the spend and the watching
