Best value inverters I have found
I'm a suspicious online buyer, been burned before. No problems here though. This is a great inverter at this price. A pure sine wave is normally much more expensive than this.
The box contains the inverter, connector knobs, washers and a couple of short cables with crimped connectors for connecting from the battery to the inverter. The instruction leaflet is in Chinese only, but this isn't a problem as it's very easy to set up. Red to red and black to black. It has one of those great power sockets that accept any kind of plug. I tried it with my international collection, everything worked.
In use it will get warm at maximum output. A fan cuts in automatically at about 28 degree (Temperature in bottom right on the small LCD screen). At max output it was getting to over 40. It's a hot summer here, so that can be expected when thrashing it to the limit on test. I'm mounting it with airspace underneath, to allow all-round air circulation.
Two important general side notes about inverters:
a) Many home appliances will not run on the cheaper Modified Sine Wave inverters, which output a square wave. It's wise to always use pure, unless its for a simple application.
b) It is wise to specify a margin of roughly 30% above your requirements, so choose the next model up to give yourself some space for the inevitable extra load.
I'm using this inverter to run most of my house, mainly computers, fridges, freezers and lighting, from a LifePo4 battery charged by solar panels.
In use, I am getting 1000 watts reliably, which leaves me plenty of room for extra draw when freezer motors kick in, for example.
This product seems to work as advertised, so I will consider upgrading to a larger one as I grow my home power system. I am happy to buy it from the same seller, who shipped very fast and answers messages (in English) right away.
Conclusion: It works well and is highly recommended!

Essential addition for IFR
1 of 1 found this helpful I use Pilot2ATCs outstanding software for ATC control. Instead of fiddling around on the screen autopilot controls, I now just press buttons and turn dials as in a RL autopilot. THis makes a huge difference to the overall flow of flying IFR. The display is large and clear to read. There is a slight delay in response to dial input, as the data goies to the PC and then comes back again to the AP. No problem though, you soon get used to it. It works with almost every aircraft I have tested in X-Plane 11, which gives a consistent AP interface. I use teh multi-swutch panel as well as Saitek yoke, throttles and pedals. Great fun!
