New Mass Air Flow Sensor Meter MAF For 95-98 Mazda Protege 1.5L Ford Aspire 1.3L

Aspire owners: put your thinking caps on.

ASPIRE DRIVERS: Major adaptation required, but it works. I removed the old one and tried to install this one in its place. The mounting holes were off by more than 10mm. As my car had not been running, I had ti move on it. It appears it is manufactures for an inside diameter install, but the aspire is an "inny". I put the unit in the vice and hacksawed a chunk off of the end. After smoothing it off, I uded the rubber grommet from the original part, and it fit fine. Next: The electrical connector on the new unit did not plug right in. Use caution! The pins are really thin and bend too easily. I had to gently move all pins upward, then slowly wiggle it in place. Lastly, the exit tube must be used as an "inny" also, with a sealer (if you have time to let it dry before starting) or duct tape to prevent air leaks. Car idles, and has a new, different "power curve" with this. Awesome price, a bit of work...

HOT-HOT-HOT!!!

I really like it now that my oven works again! I tried to follow what people suggested based on my symptoms. My oven would sometimes light, sometimes not light. When it did light, we would put things in to bake, only to return to uncooked food and a cold oven. The broiler always worked, but did you ever try to bake a cake with the broiler set at 350? Don't bother. The symptoms suggested either this piece, or the gas control valve, so I ordered both I replaced the gas control valve first. Nothing! This did the trick. Was shipped quickly, carefully wrapped, and just in time for Thanksgiving cooking.
