Good value for money
Simple, easy to use. The caps seem to go on lightly but when filled, they stay on well.

Must have lens
1 of 1 found this helpful This is an excellent lens. It takes great sharp images with lovely bokeh. For the price, it's a lens that all photographers should have - it's a fantastic, light and fast piece of glass.
I've taken some of my best pictures so far with this lens. The widest aperture is f/1.8 which is great for low light conditions. It's light, so it's not a chore to take it with you. Autofocus (on D5500) is nice and fast.
It's not an all-rounder though. It's not so good for landscapes or in tight areas - the 35mm should serve better for those situations. But this lens is perfect for street photography and portraits (on a crop sensor).
All in all, a great first lens at an excellent value.
