Amazing short nose driver
Short nose! I've gotten into many tight spaces with this thing. I've even had some shoot outs with coworkers, running up against Millwakee, DeWalt, other Makita drivers. Out drives everything. Great tourque and doesn't feel like it going to treat your arm off. Variable speed allows you to set drywall screws with out the need for drywall dimple. Great for cabinets hardware too. I never worry about over driving or damaging hardware anymore. This is the most versitile impact I've ever used. AND it's comfortable. New Millwakee M18's drive great, but it feels like I'm holding the wrong end of a baseball bat. This Makita was designed with comfort at the top of the list.

Run time is amazing.
4 of 4 found this helpful Great battery. I also have a Makita 5.0ah. Both seem to have more power than the 3.0 & 4.0, so it seems like there is more to it than just run time. Tools perform better with more torque and LED's shine brighter, but maybe that's just the shiny factor/placebo effect of my tool addiction ;) Well worth the upgrade in my opinion.

Love it
Great little impact. Short nose. Small & powerful. This is the US version. 3 speeds for driving deck screws & lags, 2nd setting for drywall screws & 3rd for installing cabinet hardware. I’m considering getting 2nd one for home use.
