Has it's time and place
For aerated type blocks (thermalite et al) these saws simply work. The lack of TCT's on every tooth isn't really an issue, and I guess it keeps the price down. Whilst I'd generally avoid Silverline tools, I'd say this saw is a good value buy.
The saw is a good option to cut down noise and dust you'd get from a power saw (when neat cuts are needed), and reduce wastage that you can get using a hammer and bolster. If you're paying for the blocks, this saw will pay for itself quite quickly. Cuts are made with only modest effort, and are pretty quick (under 20 seconds?)
Whilst the saw can cut bricks and mortar, we don't see that as the job of this saw, and using it that way is likely to damage the tips, and impair its performance when cutting blocks. So use power tools with diamond blades in those cases, but the hand saw could save the day in some awkward situations.
Good buy in my opinion.
