Mantel is a terrific writer, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It’s a fine, extremely well researched sequel to Wolf Hall. She makes dusty, historical figures leap from the pages. Recommended.

Wow, what a terrific novel.

I couldn’t work out how the apparently disparate elements of this novel would come together for a while. But they do and it’s utterly compelling and believable. Well done, an excellent novel.
