Dog Outfit pattern - just what I needed
I bought this pattern as my son and his fiancée are getting married soon and their dog is the ring bearer.
The waistcoat and collar are perfect to match the bow tie and kilt I am making in the tartan the groom and the groomsmen are wearing . The tartan is called Spirit of Bannockburn.
This pattern sparked of the idea of dressing their dog in the full highland regalia- so far I have made the waistcoat and collar from this pattern and the tartan Tammy - see picture attached. The kilt is in progress and as my dad’s aunt was a kilt maker the kilt is a true kilt and not a tartan skirt. A huge length of fabric for a tiny french bulldog is required to make the deep hand stitched pleats. The results will be visible to see and even although the kilt is on a dog the pleats will sit perfectly and the whole costume will add to the theatre of their special day.
This pattern sparked off the whole idea of creating a ring bearer outfit to match the groom and his groomsmen so definitely worth buying
There are many more patterns in this pack and I will be using those too.
If you are a dog lover then you won’t go wrong trying out some of the projects.
The picture attached show my progress so far modelled on my huge knitted Winnie the Pooh. Lol
