Ideal for the open water swimmer checking water temperature

Note: I am rating this for measuring the temperature of rivers and the like for outdoor swimming, not for assessing the temperature of bath water! It works very well for the use I have for it as it is easy to transport, durable and small - and it floats. Perhaps not as good for this purpose as a pool thermometer, as it measures surface temperature, but easier and smaller to transport and perfectly adequate.
