So Far So Good
1 of 1 found this helpful Installation: Pretty straight forward if you are used to installing controllers. Recommend getting it connected to your WiFi in the house first, then mounting and wiring in the zones second. As a plus, the keyhole and lower mounting hole line up perfectly with my old "dumb" Rainbird controller, so I did not have to add more holes to my garage wall.
App: Was easy to find in Google Play. Easy to set the controller up if you are used to setting up smart devices. Nice to be able to name the zones. The smart watering feature is a great idea but the resultant watering periodicity (time between waterings) that it recommends is woefully long. My flowers and grass would die in my Texas summer heat if I used the smart watering feature.
Experience: Been running for about a week now. Everything seems to be working as should. I am looking forward to the internet-informed rain delay feature, but I haven't experienced one yet, so I cannot comment to the efficacy. The rain sensor installed in my old "dumb" controller was notorious for needing to be replaced yearly (BOO!). This one doesn't need one!
