No frills Analog tuning
1 of 1 found this helpful Powerful FM, very sensitive receiver and can select FM mono and Stereo. Can hear signal reflection in strong South West country western stations ~80mi away as the crow flies, so well suited to Rural users and uncrowded regions. Haven't test AM much but it outperformed Grundig G6 "Buzz edition" inductively coupled to AM loop antenna in daytime test. CCradio EP testing was with stock FM whip and internal AM ferrite bar antennas respectively. I can't say if this is the best for portable FM, CCrane sensitivity specs this with 5 uV (microVolt). With Analog tuning and fading in/out characteristics with distant listening I would be excited if the EP would have a DSP button for additional "tuning." I see existance of a DSP chip with 0.66µV FM sensitivity back in 2012 (Silicon Labs Si477x series) and don't know what the deal is with Portable Radio development (writing this in early 2017).
