FRACTAL DESIGN NANO S DEFINE NANO S MINI-ITX CASE - BLACK
    06 Jan, 2021
Lovely case, but by no means small for an ITX case thus proving big can be beautiful...!
Yes, it's a nice case with typical quality in manufacture that you expect with FD, in fact it has just aboutr everything you might expect in an ITX case except small size! TBH, it could probably take a mini-ATX board with a bit of rejigging but OTOH if you want an mini ITX case with enough room for a custom loop, go for it. Personally, the size matters less to me than quality as it sits under, not on, my desk, I got it at a good price here on ebay, performance wise it will be fine as the day to day office workhorse leaving the higher end CAD system dedicated to its job with enough space which could be turned to storage that one day it may yet become the office server.
Portable Thin 30000mAh Power Bank External Battery Charger for Cell Phone Black
    02 Mar, 2017
Very useful to have but don't be too demanding.
Small, very convenient and fits in a pocket easily. You will need the cable to connect it but if you have a powered USB hub at home that works fine. I find a short cable best but not a big deal. But ... Check the spec carefully, it only gives 1A output, which is fine for my mobile phone but if, for example, you wanted to recharge a PS Vita whilst using it you'll need a power bank with a larger output current. That said, use it regularly for my mobile phone and also, with the cable provided originally, to power my car sat Navy without having a long cable from the mount on the windscreen to the 12v socket in the centre console. This sits on the dash just under the unit very neatly. Not convinced by the rated capacity though. Will recharge my phone a couple of times but I wouldn't rely on it for much more than that. Should be able to do more than that. Also best not to let the phone battery get too low before hooking this up as the initial fast recharge function wants to draw more than the 1.0A this can supply. I find it can't manage at less than about 30% charge remaining on my phone so use it to keep topped up. So, very convenient, works well in light usage, generally happy that it does what I got this one for but be sure that it has the spec you need and that limited capacity won't be too problematic for you.
NEW LOGITECH WIRELESS TRACKBALL LASER TRACK CORDLESS MOUSE M570 MAC / WINDOWS
    06 May, 2020
Great ... once you get used to it
Basically it's very comfortable to use but after years using ordinary mice it takes some getting used to, and not just because your hand stays still rather than moving as normal.. Firstly, the trackball movement is VERY light, it takes some practice to get used to the tiny thumb movements that move the pointer, but once you are used to it you can get both fast large movements and delicate ones. The slightly bigger issue is the placement of the two page forward and back buttons (the functional ones, not the usual right and left click) and the scroll wheel. On a normal mouse the two buttons tend to be on the side and worked with your thumb, fine, it's often all your thumb has to do after all, but with your thumb working the trackball those buttons have to be worked with your index finger, which is OK as they are well placed for that. But then which finger is best to work the scroll wheel? The index finger would be usual but that gives it an awful lot to do, so I find I swither and sway a bit between using my index finger and my middle finger on the scroll wheel. Still having to get used to that. Finally, the ergonomic angles are great, much more comfortable than with an ordinary flat mouse, but a better ergonomic conventional mouse would give some of the advantage there as well, but fair's fair, it is comfortable in the hand ... so long as your hand isn't too big. If you have very large or small hands you may struggle, it's designed and sized for 'normal' sized hands. If you're more than a couple of sizes away from a size 7 glove you might find it a bit uncomfortable. And don't forget, it's useless if you're a lefty, it's strictly for your right hand only. The only other point I find interesting is that I tend to find myself doing less on the keyboard with my right hand and more with my left as with the right hand set on the mouse and settled in it's better to keep it there. So if it fits, and you're willing to put the time in to get used to it, absolutely worth trying, I consider it a definite keeper. Combined with a space mouse, CAD is transformed.
