Good basic camera, terrible installation
3 of 4 found this helpful This is a neat little aluminium-housed camera with a good picture quality and a choice of video standards and settings. 12V power drain is 60mA in daylight and 500mA when the IR LEDs are on. The big problem with it is installation: the supplied cable is only 0.6m long and the set-up joystick control is moulded into this at 0.5m from the camera. Unless you finalise the camera set up before installing it, and have a foolproof method of waterproofing the BNC and DC power connectors or can pass the cable immediately through a 1" hole in the wall, this severely restricts your choice of installation location.
The supplied user manual is a bit minimal, as usual with such products. A curious undocumented feature is that in Auto IR mode at dusk and dawn the camera switches between day and night settings at about a 2-second rate for at least quarter of an hour, which is distracting and messes up motion detection. Presumably no hysteresis in the daylight sensor.
