Outstanding Lens

I have only taken a few shots since receiving but I love this lens. I wish I would have purchased it years ago, it captures very clear images with great depth of field. I was considering a macro as well but think I can get by with the 50mm until I find a need to get closer shots. I have been using this lens on the Canon Rebel XSi (450d).
