Sound Clips, suspecting if this is fake..

So i installed this unit into my car and have had it for about 2 weeks now. The good: I can play music now (old radio didnt work) The bad: The sound clips at around 17-18 volume. It really destroys the sound quality and listening experience. In other words the sound quality is poor. Also, the lcd screen is very pixelated. I checked my friend's pioneer head unit and his is very lively and is not pixelated like mine. His screen is very clear. After seeing this and comparing it with mine I am highly suspicious that mine is a fake head unit. I did some research and it says pioneer uses the same lcd in all of their head units. Also sound should not be clipping at a low volume around 17. Due to these two issues I am giving it a 1 star because these issues shouldn't be present with an authentic pioneer head unit.
