Simple, bright and good quality.
Great Petzl quality as expected, very bright on max and will run for over 2 hours on that. Simple operation, just step through the light setting required and that’s it..... I have another Core actik which I use all the time outdoors and around the house and garage, only thing I’m keeping an eye on is the headband that has lost a bit of shape, this is after about 12 months of frequent use..... but it is still ok.
Not yet had to use the normal battery operation but a great backup option if I do.

Good price and work well.
Seems to be good quality and a good price..... and they do work in terms of keeping your feet warm, so for the price defo a winner.
They may not fit as comfy as a normal sock but it is neoprean and a basic design and cut.

Maybe worth the effort if you like the look of the light but not that straightforward!
Well now it's finally up it does look ok and does the job as I wanted. It comes with a round plastic backing plate, there didn't seem to be any mounting holes in that so I had to make some to fit it directly onto brickwork, I also had to fit washers behind the screws so it didn't distort the plastic base when I screwed it to the wall, proper holes with some adjustment would have been much better, as would a steel back plate as when the light is bolted down to the plate with the two nuts there is still quite a lot of movement in the actual light, be interesting to see how it stands up to some wind..... but it sits on a rubber grommet so maybe it's designed to move a bit.
If you are feeding your cable in the side rather than through the back then you need to watch that when you bolt the lamp to the base plate you don't pinch and cut your mains cable.... you may be ok with 5 amp flat twin and earth but if you are using a bigger or round cable like I was then you will notice that the lamp base pinches the cable, I had to cut and file a piece out of the base so as to make sure it was clear (a bit that may now rust as I've cut through the galvanising....)
Also there's a glass bowl that screws on over the bulb which is a very corse thread and stick a lot, not sure what it will be like to try and get it undone..... maybe worth putting a bit of grease on the threads.
So if you like the look of the light then it's worth the effort but it may not be as straight forward as just screwing it to the wall and you're away..... I'm fairly competent at the old DIY and it was a bit of effort to get it right!
