Tacx Blue Matic T2650 Indoor Home Bike Cycle Bluetooth Smart Turbo Trainer

Excellent when it worked

The tacx blue magic turbo trainer is robust and easy to set up out of the box. The replacement qr skewer ensures the bike is stable. All of the mechanical parts are, or at least seem to be good quality, only time will tell. The electronic components on the other hand are at best unreliable. Bluetooth and ant+ both worked for the first 15 minutes then started to only provide data sporadically. I did manage to get a 1hr 20min ride without problem. And it has not worked since! It will not wake itself up and there is no physical switch to turn on or off. Overall very disappointed. I await a response from tacx to see what the problem is. I will update this review as and when I get information. I do hope this helps someone make an informed decision regarding purchasing this item. It may be that I am just unlucky with a faulty unit, but a quick search of the forums suggests this may not be the case.
