Pioneer Elite A-35R integrated amplifier
1 of 1 found this helpful I was very familiar with Pioneer Elite having working in a business that sold their products back in the late 1980's. So I was excited to give this a try.
At 45 watts into a 8 ohm load..it's not as powerful as the integrated amp I was using before and was a bit concerned about not having enough power to open up my speakers. While it isn't going to compensate for an amp with more then double its power rating, this amp is a very solid and musical amplifier. The power is clean and accurate producing a strong clean low end with a smooth and natural high end. It's very quiet..but can get a bit warm so make sure it can breathe well.
It isn't as nice as the original Elite products with the rosewood side paneling but they are still quite sharp with the high gloss black body. The controls are well thought out and easy to use. I am disappointed that this doesn't come with full size speaker terminal connections. That is something it should have come with.
It's a slightly smaller unit size wise at only 16.5 " left to right and 10.25" front to back but that does make placement easier then some of the much larger and bulkier amps I have.
While it's not going to shake the room consistently..without really pushing the circuits..it's got plenty of power for most applications.

Great parts...great price...prompt service.
Very happy with my classic T-Rods. They are very high quality and were exactly what I was looking for.
