Quality, function, and flexibility - this TacStar side-saddle has it all!
The TacStar side saddle is a great product for the Remington 870. If you're looking to add a shell carrier and also want the flexibility of an integrated top rail, you found the right product with the TacStar side saddle mount. The way the side saddle is designed, it does not interfere with the front bead sight. You can still use it with the side saddle installed. This is the main selling point - flexibility. Even if you don't utilize the top rail immediately, you still have the flexibility to add a reflex sight or something similar down the road without sacrificing your ability to sight in on a target. The shell holder is a great integration as well. The material is like a plastic rubber composite. It's flexible enough to insert and remove shell with relative ease. The pliability of the shell holders ensures the shells will not fall out. If you're like me and have a modified stock on your Remington 870, a stock mounted shell holder is not an option. The TacStar side saddle provides a great alternative solution. Installation was a breeze as well. It takes about five minutes to install with basic tools.

Solid sound, response, features and build quality at a moderate price point
The AW6500s from Definitive Technology are the standard, not an exception in conversations about outdoor speakers. Assuming you have the appropriate outdoor space to utilize their design, they are the best bang for the buck when paired with an appropriate amplifier. These things are capable of handling anywhere from 10-175 watts. That being said, they perform best in the upper power range. Do not hook them to a 50 watt amp and expect the best performance from them. They will perform at that rating, just not as well as they would with more power. Personally, I'm using a 100 watt per channel amplifier and it is more than enough power to produce great sound for my space. I recommend hooking them to an amplifier you can control the treble and bass to really dial in the best tone.
As far as I can tell, the speakers are fully sealed and weather resistant. Not weather proof, weather resistant. In the directions, it recommends installing them under some sort of protection, like the eaves of your house.
Also, in order to get the best performance, the passive radiator must face a solid surface of some sort. Keep this in mind when you consider these in your application.
Overall, for the price point, the sound quality is top notch. Even standing 100 feet away, I can clearly hear the subtle nuances in the highs and mids. It is a challenge to feel the lows at that distance but the lower audible frequencies are still present.

This unit is great and overall satisfactory for the price.
I did some extensive research before finally deciding to buy the Archos 101. Many other units were just too expensive. The 101 was resonably priced and seemed to have the backbone to do what I needed it to do. The latest firmware update is for Android 2.2. Archos doesn't know if Android 3.0 will be available at the time of this review.
After receiving the unit, I first noticed how light and thin it was. The interface is pretty user friendly. It does not come with the regular Android Market, but with a little help from your friendly neighborhood hackers, you can install it. Instead, it comes with a program named Google AppsLib. It has many of the regular market apps, but not all. The unit has great battery life. I can leave it on all day and it barely looses any battery unless I am using it non-stop.
Some cons: The unit feels cheap. The screen is not as responsive as it could be. The screen resolution is not that great and the camera is very mediocre at best.
You trade the reasonable price for a few quality sacrifices with this one, but all together it is a decent unit to mess around with when you don't feel like carrying a laptop or your cell phone screen is just a wee bit too small.
