bowie getting his mojo back
It's a bit too self-conscious, more like a plan of melding rock and soul, but without the organic fluidity of Young Americans. Still, in the early 1990s, what was he going to do, grunge? This was a step in the right direction and led to the drum and bass and alt-rock experiments to come. 1990s ideas with a 1980s slickness.
