Bulletproof, but....
I needed an inexpensive home camera system for our family to watch an elderly parent. I considered Nest and many other similarly (expensively) priced competing products but carefully read the negative reviews which consistently highlighted the same sorts of problems: unstable operation depending on user OS, update frequency, and network connectivity, and cool features that would inexplicably disappear. We needed a relatively simple system that had bulletproof operation, accessible from anywhere in the country using a variety of devices and browsers. Having some experience with security products, I knew that Axis was a global leader in reliable camera technologies and was happy to discover these units which we used very successfully to watch over a disabled parent living at home.
However...I didn't give the unit five stars because:
1) These are relatively old technology. They're about the size of a deck of playing cards and could certainly be made much smaller. The focusing ring is very hard to turn, the speaker sounds like it came out of the earpiece of a 1974 public phone. Having worked professionally with sophisticated (mini)microphones, I am absolutely certain that these microphones could not have cost more than a few dollars. Nevertheless, they were adequate, though barely.
2) The installation instructions are worse than useless; I could have saved hours of frustration by ignoring them altogether and gone straight to customer support chat, which was, by the way, excellent.
3) During operation, a soft green light around the front bezel notifies anyone that the camera is "on" and watching. It was only a nuisance at night, for our situation, but why a "surveillance" camera would have such a feature is beyond me.
4) There is no "night vision" or infrared capability. Like I noted: old technology. However, there is a white LED "flashlight" which can be turned on remotely, though, oddly, not from the AxisCompanion mobile app. Serviceable, but hardly high-tech in this day and age, especially from a manufacturer that uses very sophisticated IR-capable technologies for many of their other systems.
5) No easy way to use their browser-based viewing option. Though I was able to connect directly to a camera's IP address through the home's WiFi network, I couldn't forward the port such that I could do this remotely, despite hours of trying.
6) No easy way to record video. I didn't spend more than a few hours trying to use Windows-based screen capture methods, but, I'm sure it could probably be done.
Given these seemingly crippling handicaps, the three units we bought are worthy of the 4 stars I gave them: they operated 'round the clock for a month straight, never dropping out and providing good video to laptops, desktops, I-phones, and Android devices, through an eight year old hand-me-down home router. No weird expensive subscriptions or other hidden costs, either.

Carefully inspect before use...
Most of the bits that shipped with this kit worked reasonably well, but the cylindrical bur was almost unusable right out of the box. Besides being out-of-square, the bottom diamond coated surface was smooth to the touch, even after limited use on marble. Vibration on this one bur was so bad that I could only use it for thr roughest work.

Beware....
The threaded "travelers" are reverse threaded and will not accept older workmate threaded rods. This is not a size issue, but a case where the female threads cannot accept the male threaded rod.
