Second generation, but still nice
The original Pentangle was two acoustic guitars, upright bass, jazz drums and a girl singer. They did folk, jazz, blues, classical, medieval and renaissance music and they did it all well. This incarnation still has one of the guitarists (Bert Jaensch) and the girl singer, but the other three have been replaced. There is a slight drop in overall musicianship, but only slight. They still do folk, blues and classical, but no more jazz. The sound is different, but once you get past the fact that Danny Thompson and John Renbourn are no longer here, it is still very nice. Well worth a listen

Beautiful
Imagine two absolutely wonderful musicians getting together and playing the music they love just for fun. That's the feel of this CD. Van Duser is a fantastic guitarist, and Novick is a great reed man. Together, they are more than just two guys, though. Together they make wonderful traditional jazz. This CD also has the only song I've ever heard that is a happy song about suicide. Warm, wonderful, melodic and swinging. Buy this CD only if you love great music

Excellent Lovecraft styled modern horror
This is the third book by Spencer I've read, and this is the best so far. I liked Zod Wallop and Irrational Fears a lot, but this on is so very well done. Imagine Lovecraft's horror as interpreted by Woody Allen. It has scary moments, funny moments, sexy moments and dramatic moments. Highly recommended for those who love Lovecraft but are willing to see his story lines in a different light.
