Fantastic sound
3 of 4 found this helpful I've had many portable speakers, I've spent all my adult life in search of one who could deliver great sound and yet be portable. I've finally found it: Beoplay A1. Amazing design, incredible sound. Battery life is good as long as you don't crank up the volume. Worth every penny.

Amazing sound, terrible battery.
I would have given 5 stars plus for these speakers were it not for the battery. I think there's a typo there when they say 24 hours battery life: they actually meant 2 to 4 hours, at best. At moderate levels you might be able to squeeze 3 hours out of it, at high (but not max) volume, you'll get one hour's worth of music before battery dies. I had the same problem with the beoplay a1, although it performed a little better.
Sound wise, you won't find a better portable speaker anywhere in the world. It outperforms all the big names, such as Bose and UE.
The thing is that it isn't portable. If you take it to the beach or park, the battery will drain before you start enjoying it.
For the price I paid, it's still excellent value and I would buy again.
