Shimano’s rising Sun, SunTour’s total eclipse
This is a unique period of bicycle alloy gripping component history- painted click-shifting!? Just after the expiration of SunTour’s slant-parallelogram derailleur patent, their rival Shimano used that idea and their idea of indexed click gears against the originators in the same marketplace , IMO.
Almost 40 years later the gruppo rides and looks great, unique, and iconic.

Accurate prophecy by leders in the cataract surgery field
I know (in Dr Martin's case, I knew) many of the authors.
In the last 20 years since publication, most of the predictions they made were on target.
This is a classic written by original thinkers in the field.
Very pleased to add a nice copy of this to my library.
In retrospect back when this was written there was substantially less commercial bias, since fees for cataract surgery were three times what they are now, and doing good surgery and getting paid for it was enough reward. Nowadays a lot of medical writers seem to need a real job, unlike these authors who were actually busy as surgeons.
