The last of the Blackberries
7 of 7 found this helpful Blackberry Passport, the last of a dying breed.
In my humble opinion, the greatest true Blackberry device ever made.
As if the level of security and encryption provided by the Blackberry platform wasn't enough, Research in Motion outdid themselves with the innovative end user platform features that the Blackberry 10 OS represents right out of the box.
Doesn't have the greatest camera on the market - or the best app ecosystem.
But it does have a fully touch capacitive QWERTY keyboard, and highly intuitive, user friendly, proprietary user interface for people who just want to get the job done whether that means surfing the world wide web on the Blackberry Browser or responding to Emails, Texts, Phonecalls, and whatever else the world throws at you without the impersonality of a generic touch screen keyboard.
In a world ruled by Twits and Tinders, Blackberry stood alone as the last bastion of privacy and unbridled productivity in a world driven mad by avarice and this - the Blackberry Passport was it's last stand and finest hour.
Crystal clear call input and output with a quad microphone array and stereo speakers plus self leveling call audio adjusted to account for the ambient noise in your environment.
Listen to music with your device locked.
Apps that run in the background.
The Blackberry Hub.
Blackberry Blend.
The world needed this phone and here it is,
forsaken by the very consumers it came to save.
The last hurrah of the once dominant name in the mobile phone marketplace: Blackberry will live on but with its heart ripped out and replaced by the cold silicone components of the Android platform.
For as long as I can manage, I will stand by my Blackberry and carry it with pride.
Try it and you won't look back if you have a shred of uncommon sense in your noggin.
Turn away and you will miss the features that Research in Motion pioneered.
Never try and you will never know.
I guess that's why it is sometimes said that "ignorance is bliss" but is it not also said that "it is better to have loved and lost then never to have loved at all"?
Experience the peak of Blackberry lineage while you still have a chance.
