New Find For An Old Reader.
This is my first Mary Oliver book. I can now say with confidence - I am a fan. Lovely writing and short passages to reflect on and read again.I intend to start on her poems as my next venture in reading.

Miles Better Than Some Books!
It is typical Flann O'Brien but more subdued than say his collected Irish Times articles.

Times of Change.
I have read a number of Colm Toibin's books and have enjoyed this one very much. He is writing as a journalist travelling in various European countries during the early 1990s. A time of massive change and one that he covers in an informative and sympathetic way.Europe was changing and has certainly changed again.
