Good Value for Money

Realistic stereo components have never commanded the prices seen from other equipment - both in home audio and in the car. This particular head unit features the "shaft style", or "in-dash" design that many cars from the early 80's and prior utilized. Unfortunately, many of those cars are quite rare and desirable, and as a result the stereos have skyrocketed in value - a Blaupunkt in similar condition (and with similar features) would demand $200-500, depending on condition. Pioneers and Kenwoods are not far behind. This head unit is packed with features and decent power output. It matches the aesthetic of my '84 GTI, and that's what I really wanted. If you want a fancier brand name, buy something else, but Tandy did alright by me with this one.
