Easy to maneuver, self cleaning brush, lightweight
First of all, I was impressed with how clean and new looking this refurbished vacuum was.
Everything was packaged as if it was like new.
The unit was easy to assemble following the quick setup page.
Unlike my old Amway upright vacuum which was very heavy, this lightweight Shark was easy to maneuver and the swivel base made turning effortless. My old vacuum was difficult to turn because the bottom base was rigid.
I have only used the Shark once so far, so the brush has not accumulated much debris yet. However since we have 2 cats and my wife and daughter both have long hair, I am sure that I will soon see how much hair accumulates on the brush. The brush on our old vacuum would get completely loaded up with long hairs after a few uses and I hated having to clean it.
The first time I used the Shark it did a great job on both carpeted areas and bare floors. The Shark dirt cup and filters are much easier to clean out than our old Amway vacuum. I also like the suction control that makes it easy to vacuum small rugs without getting inhaled into the brush like they would with the old vacuum that did not have a suction control.
The refurbished Shark came with a 2 year warranty, which is an unexpected bonus. All in all, I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to others.
