The best book on theatre I've ever read.
This is one of those rare, truly special books that packs more into its relatively slim volume than seems possible. Anyone with an interst in theatre can benefit from reading this book. I've read it three times already, and am sure I'll return to it again and again.

Shaun of the Dead
0 of 1 found this helpful A great comedy-horror film that leaves no stomach unturned (or zombie disembowled) in it's search for laughs. As with the series 'Spaced', it doesn't matter if you don't get all the references and in-jokes, as the gags and visual comedy work perfectly well on their own merits.
As well written and observed as this film is (though I'm not sure who would have 'observed' these things), it is the performances that lift it way above the average for spoof horror films, and towards the top of comedy in general. If ever there is a film made of my life, Simon Pegg had to take the lead.

Pat Kinevane proves Irish drama is very much alive and well.
It's easy to think the best Irish dramatists are no longer with us. Pat Kinevane proves otherwise. Reading both Silence and Forgotten is almost as electric as seeing most plays performed.
