Great Little Modem

I recently started cord cutting and was looking for lost cost products to make it worth while without a bunch of up front costs. I had a triple plan with Voice, Internet and TV and the rate was up to $210 per month. Picked up a FireTVstick on CC points and Ooma on Prime sale then dusted off my old wireless router. I just needed a cable modem to complete the package. Saw the good reviews on this one and it was Comcast compatible. I ripped out the monster the Comcast was renting me and this unit came up lickety split. You can log into the unit to verify it's status but you still need to call the Cable Company for them to authorize the device on their network. The minute it came up I connected straight to my laptop to verify the connection with the Comcast tech and I was getting 120Mbps a full 20 Mbps above my tiered Internet connection package. Remember with this unit you still need a router for your home network. This unit has a great little footprint on your destop much nicer than the beast from the CATV company that I removed.

These are the same connectors used by the professionals. If you have the correct tools and know how you install these properly you will never have a problem with this product.

Too bad Char-Broil stopped making these and we have to use an after-market product. This one is starting to rust deteriorate right away.
