I thought I replied to the effect that the book had been taken to a charity shop with other items and a full refund and apology was given for the inconvenience and disappointment.
I already had a Panasonic KX-TGD 322 kit and wanted to expand it with an additional 2 phones. The phones in the KX-TG312 kit are identical to my existing phones. Both phone kits have a base station and it's possible to connect all the phones to both base stations giving a wider coverage which is beneficial in a long house. In summary great phones which I can recommend.
Brilliant for sorting out problems where bird droppings have attacked the paintwork.

Trouble buying old stock
I've bought 3 of these and 2 have print quality issues which are drum related. Because they have been sitting unused for a number of years, the Photoconductor unit (Part No: E260X22G) has flat spots on the drum which gives a repeating line across the page at a spacing consistent with the circumference of the drum. The PCR (smaller roller in the Photoconductor unit) has a roughness about it and is responsible for leaving a mottled appearance on prints. I contacted Lexmark about this and they sent me another drum unit which was better but still had a mark across the page from a drum flat spot. I contacted Lexmark but they were trying to avoid issuing another replacement by putting up hurdles (saying the printers were supplied to the Belgian market and will need to be transferred to Lexmark UK before dealing with the issues) which would incur my time to overcome and hence cost money, on top of the cost of the premium rate phone calls. In the end, I bought a couple of new OEM drum units off the internet at £39 each which have sorted the problem.
For the price Netcom Online are selling these machines, even if you include the cost of buying a new Photoconductor unit they represent fair value for money. For anyone buying one of these if there is a print defect, don't bother contacting Lexmark, just buy a new Photoconductor unit and don't let Lexmark waste your time trying to get a new part from them.
