Good quick read with a big impact

Wonderful book to read to your children or for young readers!
I have a 5 year old and 14 year old. We read this book out loud as a family before we saw the movie. We all enjoyed it and couldn't wait to find time to all sit down together and read it. Even my teenager wanted to bring it in the car whenever we went somewhere so he could read it out loud to his little brother. It is an exciting story line with quirky characters that kept us guessing. The author uses some words we don't hear today so my children got a vocabulary lesson even though they didn't realize it.
