French Rock Veteran at his best
You don't have to understand French to like this powerful entertainer. This is an old recording, but still very representative. Good interaction with his band and the audience. Technically, the music and video are also flawless. Song writer Michel Berger also works with Celine Dion and other famous French singers. His upbeat music is enchanting. The lyrics are good, he touches the hearts. I loved it.

Not for the fainthearted
I bought it because of Susan George. She played her confrontational role (victim/cause of lust and serial raping) with great perfection. It is however a very slow movie, it takes ages for things to happen, but when they happen, you do not know how to respond. You experience a mix of excitement, anger, resistance. This movie is so hard and extremely realistic, as if the viewer becomes part of the cast, you are drawn into the movie. I usually don't watch horror movies, but this is worse, far worse. But also a warning not to trust people you don't know. Also, for a women how not to behave in front of strangers; Susan rather attracted the terror the couple later on experienced from the villagers. As did Dustin, with this rather rude and unworldly behavior, like coming from the moon. What to expect if simple workman are confronted with middle-class foreigners. To understand what a balanced relationship is about (this one clearly is not balanced). It is about obsessions, lack of and at the same time lust for love, a marriage falling apart, neurotic behavior marvelously played by Dustin, fear and and terror. There is finally Dustin, who transforms from a silly neurotic professor into a fearsome killing machine, finally becoming the man Susan was asking for. But, not as she intended and far too late to repair a marriage that is already at its end as the final scene visualizes.
The interviews are also interesting, particularly the one with Susan. Not with Dustin, which is not o.k. in my opinion.
Don't watch it if you have serious mental issues, have been abused or otherwise terrorized. Cheers!

Glamorous, but not realistic
A movie like a poem. Gallantry, good and bad people. Brave men and stupid women. It's all there, but it's too frivolous to be true. The ease of escape, the ease of (near) capture. The change of actors in both movies is visible, but the actors do their best to conceal it. Probably nice for a theatre or a book, but i expect more from a movie than this.
