Handy way to save money on a new battery (in the end)
1 of 1 found this helpful Good all-round panel with sensible design and a good choice of connectors. You can buy higher output panels for the same money but some are poor quality and Oxford products generally deliver what they promise. Don't be surprised at the high open circuit voltage, it calms down once connected. I use one to keep my bike battery happy in the shed through the winter (starts first time in all weathers) and a second one usefully offsets losses from electron-guzzling background circuits in my van - even with the panel placed inside the widnscreen.

Good quality
Good size, doesn't smell and stopper screws in easily. Had these before; the plasticiser started to leach out and it smelt bad and fell apart. It must have been a bad formulation because others have been fine.

Huge improvement over the old products
Good colour match to tub and website image. Dries slowly compared with spirit-based products but sands beautifully. Does not soak into adjacent grain as readily so it's easy to get a neat fill area once sanded. If you're filling more than a few mm, the centre may drop a bit due to shrinkage so follow the advice and mound it slightl;y to compensate. If you do get a depression, it will fil very securely with an extra application.
