Nice looking amp with excellent sound quality
1 of 1 found this helpful Ignore the bull**** WhatHiFi review. It doesn't have a plodding bass at all. Bass Is punchy and tight but lacks a touch of depth. This Is In comparison to my old modified Onix OA21 and Cambridge Audios very own AM1 (Cambridge entry level budget amp). It's only a fraction though and I'm sure most people wouldn't even notice. Midrange Is nice and clear and high frequency detail may actually be a touch better than the Onix. It's obvious that Cambridge Audio spend a lot of time voicing their amplifiers because they are well balanced and always sound very musical (Unlike a lot of high end brands that I've heard). I tried to modify an AM1 once but gave up because I could only seem to make It sound worse... Buy with confidence!
