Kef PSW 2500
7 of 7 found this helpful These are old models now bust still perform quite well.
Their main advantage is that they are easily and cheaply repairable.
They all suffer from the same basic design fault which ensures that they WILL fail sooner or later.
Kef repair these for a large fee but do not carry out one simple and vital modification that has always been required so the same fault is very likely to re-occur.
If you run this with the Music/Cinema switch in the "Cinema" position at all times, it bass response is improved and the overall response is much flatter.
I carry out a simple modification to these which improves the bass response so that it is -3dB at 20Hz. Probably better than any other "compact and affordable" sub.
For more information and repair of Kef PSW series subs, I have collated as much information as I have here:

Not just a doorbell but a system.
The Byron BY system has several components and all work nicely together to make the system that you need for a large property or one with outbuildings.
I have a workshop in my garage and was missing parcel deliveries as I couldn't hear the doorbell.
I installed a BY301 main unit in the house plus a mains powered BY103 which I now have in my workshop.
You can install up-to two bell pushes and have different chimes from each. These are very easy to set-up.
The BY301 is very loud and suitable for the hard of hearing. It also has a flashing LED but this can be disabled and the volume reduced if you are not.
Highly recommended.
